適應症 |
Infections caused by susceptible gm-ve microorganisms such as UTI, lower respiratory tract, skin & soft tissue, intra-abdominal, bone & joint, gynecological infections, septicemia. |

用量 |
IV/IM Adult UTI 500 mg-1 g 8-12 hrly. Moderate to severe systemic infections 1-2 g 8-12 hrly. Life threatening infections 2 g 6-8 hrly. Max: 8 g/day. Severe infections due to P. aeruginosa 2 g 6-8 hrly. Children 30 mg/kg/dose 8 hrly for mild to moderate infections & 6-8 hrly in moderate to severe systemic infections. Max: 120 mg/kg/day. |

Category B: Either animal-reproduction studies have not demonstrated a foetal risk but there are no controlled studies in pregnant women or animal-reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect (other than a decrease in fertility) that was not confirmed in controlled studies in women in the 1st trimester (and there is no evidence of a risk in later trimesters). |

注意事項 |
Hepatic or renal impairment. Neonate < 1 week, pregnancy, lactation. Concomitant use of aminoglycosides. |

Hypersensitivity reactions, dermatological effects (eg rash & urticaria), blood disorders, including thrombocytopenia & neutropenia (rare), jaundice & hepatitis (rare), GI disturbances, discomfort at inj site.
