Primary hyperlipidemia & mixed dyslipidemia. |

用量 |
Adult 1-2 mg once daily, may be increased to max 4 mg/day. Hepatic impairment 1 mg/day. Max: 2 mg. |

Category X: Studies in animals or human beings have demonstrated foetal abnormalities or there is evidence of foetal risk based on human experience or both, and the risk of the use of the drug in pregnant women clearly outweighs any possible benefit. The drug is contraindicated in women who are or may become pregnant. |

禁忌 |
Active liver disease, which may include unexplained persistent elevations in hepatic transaminase levels. Pregnancy or women suspected of being pregnant, lactation. Co-administration with cyclosporine. |

注意事項 |
Risk of skeletal mucle effects (eg. myopathy & rhabdomyolysis) in patients > 65 years, renal impairment, inadequately treated hypothyroidism & combination use with fibrates. Monitor liver enzymes before & during treatment. |

不良反應 |
Myalgia, backache, diarrhea, constipation, pain in extremity.

交互作用 |
Lopinavir/ritonavir. Erythromycin & rifampin increase pitavastatin exposure. Risk of myopathy with co-administration of fibrates. Monitor PT & INR in patient receiving warfarin.
