极易溶于N，N-二甲基甲酰胺，易溶于乙醇（95）或丙酮，稍难溶于乙腈，极难溶于水。

药效药理
通过结合存在于GABAA受体的亚单位的巴比妥酸衍生物结合部位，提高抑制性传递物质GABA的受体亲和性，增强Cl-通道开口作用，促进神经功能抑制作用。
适应症
不安紧张状态的镇静（紧急需要时）
癫痫的痉挛发作
强直间代发作（整体痉挛发作、大发作）、焦点发作（包括杰克逊型发作）
自律神经发作、精神运动发作
用法与用量
作为苯巴比妥，通常成人1次50～200mg，每天1～2次皮下或肌肉内注射。另外，根据年龄、症状适当增减。

Effects of this medicine
This medicine promotes receptor affinity of inhibitory transmitter (GABA), increases Clsup- /supchannel permeability and promotes to suppress nerve function by binding to the binding sites of barbiturates that are in subunits of GABAsubA/sub receptors.
It is usually used to relieve anxiety/tension state and to treat convulsive seizures in epilepsy, autonomic seizures or psychomotor seizures.
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
•If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have acute intermittent porphyria...aftereffects of trauma (head injury) or progressive arteriosclerosis, heart/liver/renal disorder...neurosis, hypothyroidism, or tendency to drug dependence or its medical history.
•If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
•If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Precautions while taking this medicine
•This medicine may cause drowsiness and decreased attention/concentration/reflex movement. Avoid driving a car or operating dangerous machinery after injection.
•Pay attention that alcohol (drinking) may intensify medicinal effects.
•Avoid taking any food containing St. Johns wort, since it may diminish medicinal effects.
Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include drowsiness, dizziness and generalized red rash. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
•fever, bloodshot eyes, generalized skin redness and swelling of the skin with rash or blisters [toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous ocular syndrome, erythroderma (exfoliative dermatitis)]
•rash, fever, swelling in lymph nodes [hypersensitivity syndrome]
•dead tissue around the injection site [local necrosis]
•sore throat, fever, nose or gum bleeding [granulocytopenia, decreased platelets]
•general malaise, nausea, yellow discoloration of the skin and the white of eyes [liver dysfunction]
The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
