適應症

Surface anesth.

用量

Each actuation delivers 10 mg lidocaine base. Otorhinolaryngology 3 metered doses for puncture of the maxillary sinus or other minor surgical procedures. Paracentesis 3 metered doses. During delivery Up to 20 metered doses. Introduction of instruments, tubes & catheters into the respiratory & digestive tract Up to 20 metered doses for procedures in the pharynx, larynx & trachea. During prolonged procedures, up to 400 mg of lidocaine may be administered. In addition, when combined with other lidocaine products, the total dose should not exceed 400 mg. With applications mainly to the larynx, trachea & bronchi, the dose should not exceed 20 metered doses. Dental practice 1-5 metered doses to the mucous membranes.

Category B: Either animal-reproduction studies have not demonstrated a foetal risk but there are no controlled studies in pregnant women or animal-reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect (other than a decrease in fertility) that was not confirmed in controlled studies in women in the 1^st trimester (and there is no evidence of a risk in later trimesters).

Hypersensitivity to amide type local anesth.

注意事項

Avoid excessive or prolonged use. Patients with traumatized mucosa &/or sepsis in the region of the proposed application. Oropharyngeal use may impair swallowing & thus enhance the danger of aspiration. Numbness of the tongue or buccal mucosa may increase the danger of biting trauma. Partial or complete heart block, deliberated or elderly patients, advanced liver disease or severe renal dysfunction. May temporarily impair locomotion & coordination.

Local irritation, allergic reactions, acute systemic toxicity.

交互作用

Agents structurally related to local anesth. Use in caution with antiarrhythmics class III, cimetidine or β-blockers.
