適應症 |
Trichomonal vaginitis, leukorrhea, amebiasis, amebic liver abscess, metronidazole-susceptible anaerobic infections. |

用量 |
Adult Anaerobic infections 7.5 mg/kg, max: 1g. To be taken 6 hrly for 7 days. Adjunct therapy of H. pylori related duodenal ulcers 500 mg tid with bismuth subsalicylate & ampicillin/amoxicillin for 1-2 weeks. Amebiasis 500-700 mg tid for 5-7 days. Trichomoniasis 2 g as single dose or 1 g bid for 1 day; 250 mg tid for 7 days. Dracunculiasis 250 mg tid for 10 days. Max dose for all infections: 4 g/day. Children Anaerobic infections 7.5 mg/kg given 6 hrly or 10 mg/kg given 8 hrly. Amebiasis 11.6-16.7 mg/kg given tid for 10 days. Trichomoniasis 5 mg/kg tid for 7 days. Dracunculiasis 8.3 mg/kg, max 250 mg/dose tid for 10 days. |

禁忌 |
Hypersensitivity to nitroimidazoles or nitroimidazol derivatives.Cerebrospinal disease. Active CNS disease. 1st trimester of pregnancy. |

注意事項 |
Severe hepatic disease, patients liable of edema or taking corticosteroid therapy. Monitor WBC with blood dyscrasias. Lactation. Active CNS disease including epilepsy. Elderly. |

不良反應 |
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, metallic taste, stomatitis. Reversible neutropenia, CNS disturbances, ECG changes, urticaria, erythematous rash, hot flush, nasal congestion, dry mouth, fever. Local inj site reactions, difficulty in micturition, cystitis, polyuria, incontinence, heavy pelvic feeling, urine discoloration. Vaginitis, decreased libido, proctitis, arthritis.
