適應症 |
Treatment of patients with multiple myeloma & patients with documented bone metastases from solid tumors, in conjunction with standard antineoplastic therapy. Prostate cancer should have progressed after treatment with at least one hormonal therapy. Treatment of hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM). |

用量 |
Prevention of skeletal related events in patients with bone metastases from multiple myeloma, breast cancer, prostate cancer 4 mg reconstituted & further diluted as IV infusion, given no < 15 min every 3-4 weeks. Patients should also be administered an oral Ca supplement of 500 mg & 400 iu vit D daily. Treatment of HCM (albumin-corrected serum Ca ≥12 mg/dL or 3 mmol/L) 4 mg reconstituted & further diluted as IV infusion, given no < 15 min. |

Hypersensitivity to other bisphosphonates. Pregnancy & lactation. |

注意事項 |
Patient must be adequately hydrated before administration. Cardiac failure (avoid overhydration). Serum levels of Ca, phosphate, Mg & serum creatinine should be carefully monitored after initiating therapy. Monitor renal function. Severe renal impairment; severe hepatic insufficiency; osteonecrosis of jaw. Patient with concomitant risk factors (eg cancer, chemotherapy, corticosteroids, poor oral hygiene) should avoid invasive dental procedures while on treatment. Children. |

不良反應 |
Anemia, headache, conjunctivitis, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, bone pain, myalgia, arthralgia, generalized pain, renal impairment, fever, flu-like syndrome, hypophosphatemia, increased blood creatinine & blood urea levels, hypocalcemia.

交互作用 |
Caution when used with aminoglycosides & other nephrotoxic drugs. In multiple myeloma patients, risk of renal dysfunction increased with thalidomide.
