Indications |
Treatment of hypercalcemia & osteolysis due to malignancy. |

Dosage |
Adult Starting dose: 1,600 mg/day as a single dose or in 2 divided doses. Max: 3,200 mg daily. |

Administration |
Should be taken on an empty stomach (Take w/ a full glass of plain water at least 1 hr before & 2 hr after eating, drinking (except plain water) or taking other oral drugs. Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.). |

Contraindications |
Childn or patients w/ immature skeletal growth. |
|
Special Precautions |
Peptic ulcer, renal dysfunction. Pregnancy, lactation. |
|
Adverse Drug Reactions |
GI disturbances; transient proteinuria, reversible elevation of serum parathyroid hormone, creatinine, lactic acid dehydrogenase & alkaline phosphatase.
