Active immunisation against HBV infection.

Dosage |
20 mcg/mL Adult ≥20 yr 1 mL IM. 10 mcg/0.5 mL Neonate, infant & childn up to & including 19 yr 0.5 mL IM inj. All doses to be given at 0, 1, 6 mth; or 0, 1, 2 + booster at 12 mth; or 0, 7, 21 days + booster at 12 mth (for subjects ≥20 yr only).

Contraindications |
Hypersensitivity.

Special Precautions |
Do not administer in the buttock, intradermally or intravascularly. Postpone administration in acute febrile illness. Renal insufficiency, haemodialysis, HIV-infected or immunocompromised patients. Risk of apnoea & resp monitoring for 48-72 hr in very premature infants (≤28 wk of gestation). Pregnancy, subjects >40 yr.

Adverse Drug Reactions |
Irritability, inj site reactions, fatigue, appetite loss, headache, drowsiness, GI symptoms, fever ≥37.5°C.

Pregnancy Category (US FDA) |
