Indications |
Shock, burns, hypoproteinaemia, hyperbilirubinaemia, cardiopulmonary bypass procedures. |
Dosage |
Adult Initial infusion of 100 mL. Childn ¼-½ adult dose or 0.6-1 g/kg body wt. |
Contraindications |
Severe heart failure; severe anaemia. |
Special Precautions |
Low cardiac reserve; marked dehydration. |
Adverse Drug Reactions |
Fever, chills, rash, nausea, vomiting. Rapid infusion may cause pulmonary oedema.
