Indications |
Lower & upper resp tract, soft tissue, skin & skin structure infections. Prevention & treatment of Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) infection. H. pylori infection. Acute otitis media. Odontogenic infection.

Dosage |
Klacid tab 250 mg bid. Severe infections 500 mg bid. MAC infection 500-1,000 mg bid. H. pylori infection 500 mg bid. Klacid ped susp 7.5 mg/kg bid. Klacid vial 500 mg bid 2-5 days. Klacid MR tab 500 mg once daily. May be increased to 1,000 mg once daily. Duration: 6-14 days.

Contraindications |
Known hypersensitivity to macrolides. Patients receiving terfenadine, pimozide or cisapride.
