Indications |
Prevention or treatment of hypovolemic syndrome & the aversion of CV collapse. Emergency treatment of shock. Burns. Hypoproteinemia & edema. Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. |
Dosage |
Adult Initially 100 mL. Childn ¼-½ adult dose. To be given IV. |
Contraindications |
Severe anemia or cardiac failure in the presence of normal or increased intravascular vol. |
Special Precautions |
Patients w/ low cardiac reserve. |
Adverse Drug Reactions |
Rash, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, hypotension, chill, fever.
