Injection, folinic acid (as calcium salt - calcium folinate [calcium leucovirin]) 3mg/1mL , 15mg/2mL , 50mg/5mL , 100mg/10mL , 300mg/30mL . Available from Faulding, Sterwin.

Indications
Enhancement of 5-fluorouracil cytotoxicity in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer.

Contra Indications
Should not be used to treat pernicious anaemia or other megaloblastic anaemia where vitamin B is deficient.

Special Precautions
12 Should only be used with 5-FU under the direct supervision of a physician experienced in the use of cancer chemotherapeutic agents. Pregnancy and lactation.

Adverse Reactions
Rare. Allergic reactions reported occasionally; pyrexia has occurred after parenteral administration.
