In general, for adults, children and neonates, inject by intravenous infusion more than one hour 3 times a day.

This medicine may be injected 7 days for adults and children, 10 days for neonatal herpes simplex virus infection, as a guide. The treatment span may be extended as needed.

This medicine may be started in early phase of the disease, because the effect can be expected than near early disease onset.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include fever, rash, erythema, hives, itch, bulla, fixed drug eruption, photosensitivity, anemia, bloody urine, nausea, consciousness disorder, chest pain, joint pain, general malaise, injection part necrosis and respiratory distress. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

respiratory distress, angioedema, palpitation [anaphylactic shock, anaphylaxis]

headache, subcutaneous bleeding, sore throat [blood disorder such as pancytopenia, agranulocytosis etc.]

decreased urine output, edema, headache [acute renal failure]

coma, hallucination, convulsions [neuropsychiatric symptoms]

fever, bulbar conjunctival hyperemia, mucosal eruption with pain of oral mucosa etc. [Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome]
