Effects of this medicine
This medicine is metabolized to bicarbonate ion by the citric acid cycle, and acts as a base in the body to alkalinize the urine and body fluid.
It is usually used to improve gout, acidic urine accompanied by hyperuricemia and acidosis.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have renal/hepatic disorder or urinary tract infection.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

Improvement of gout and acidic urine accompanied by hyperuricemia: In general, for adults, take 2 tablets at a time, 3 times a day. It should be adjusted to maintain urine pH between 6.2 and 6.8 with urine tests. Strictly follow the instructions.
Improvement of acidosis: In general, for adults, take 12 tablets in 3 to 4 divided doses a day. It should be adjusted according to your age, body weight and results of blood gas analysis. Strictly follow the instructions.

If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, wait approximately 4 hours before the next dose. If it is 2 to 3 hours or less before the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

If you have gout or hyperuricemia, drink plenty of water to increase urine output.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include diarrhea, loose stool, stomach discomfort and nausea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
