Effects of this medicine
The active ingredient of this medicine, Levodopa, changes into dopamine in the brain and improves symptoms of Parkinson disease and etc. It is usually used to treat Parkinson disease and parkinsonian syndrome.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
If you are a patient with glaucoma, hepatic/renal disorder, diabetes, heart/lung disease, bronchial asthma, endocrine system disease, neurological manifestation such as suicide tendency, or osteomalacia.
If you have/had gastric/duodenal ulcer.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

General dosage regimen: If you have not taken Levodopa so far: For adults, take 1-3 tablet(s) in 1-3 divided doses a day, after meal on the first day. Gradually increase the dosage by 1-2 tablet(s) a day every 2-3 days. The maintenance dosage is 3-6 tablets a day. It should be adjusted according to your disease, age and symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
If you are taking Levodopa now: For adults, take Levodopa equivalent to about 1/5 of the daily amount which you are taking (1 tablet contains 100mg of Levodopa) on the first day. Take it in 1-3 divided doses a day, after meal. Gradually increase or decrease the amount of this medicine after that. The maintenance dosage is 3-6 tablets a day. It should be adjusted according to your disease, age and symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

Take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

If you took too much of this medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while taking this medicine

This medicine may cause sudden and temporary sleepiness, diminished attention, or decreased reflection ability. Do not drive a car, work at heights, or operate dangerous machinery.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: involuntary movement, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, hallucination, sleeplessness, rash, urticaria-like eczema.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

hallucination, depression and indisposition, loss of appetite, lassitude, sleeplessness, impaired judgment, inability to have normal thoughts [hallucination, depression, confusion]

bad abdominal pain, vomiting, vomiting of blood [worsening of gastric/duodenal ulcer]

easy fatigability, anemia [hemolytic anemia]

sudden and temporary sleepiness [sudden onset of sleep]

Storage conditions and other information

Keep out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature (1-30℃), away from light and moisture.
