Effects of this medicine
This medicine normalizes bowel movement by the actions of Casanthranol which increase intestinal motility and Dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate (surfactant) which softens stool by permeating the hard stool with water.
It is usually used to treat constipation. It is also used for elimination of intestinal contents at the examination of abdominal organs and before/after surgery.

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you are suspected of acute abdominal condition.
If you have indurated stool or spastic constipation.

In general, for adults, take 5 to 6 tablets at a time before bedtime or 6 tablets in 2 to 3 divided doses, with a plenty of water. The dosage may be adjusted according to your age and symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.

If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Discoloration of urine to yellowish brown or red may occur during treatment.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, dry mouth, nausea, abdominal discomfort, abdominal bloating and stomach rumbling. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
