Effects of this medicine
This medicine has effect for fungal infections in the body by inhibiting biosynthesis of cell membrane of fungus (a kind of mold).
Usually, used for treatment of sever/refractory fungal infections (e.g. aspergillosis, candidiasis, cryptococcosis, etc.).
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor/pharmacist
If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
If you have decreased liver function, arrhythmia, condition that will easily induce arrhythmia.
If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are using any other prescription or nonprescription (OTC) medicine. (It is important to reduce the risk of drug interactions.)
 
Dosage regimen (proper use of this medicine)
Your dosage regimen is:(order of your doctor)

General dosage regimen: For adults (with body weight of 40 kg or more), start with 300 mg of the active ingredient twice a day on the first day. From the second day, take 150 mg or 200 mg twice a day between meals. The dosage may be increased according to your symptoms or if it is not effective enough. The maximum dosage is 400 mg twice a day on the first day and 300 mg twice a day after the second day.
For adults (with body weight under 40 kg), start with 150 mg of the active ingredient twice a day on the first day. From the second day, take 100 mg twice a day between meals. The dosage may be increased up to 150 mg twice a day after the second day according to your symptoms or if it is not effective enough.
Each tablet contains 200 mg of the active ingredient. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
Missed dose: If you missed a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose: If you take too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.
Others: Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.
 
Precautions while using this medicine
This medicine may cause sensitivity to bright light, blurred vision and decline in visual acuity, which can persist after stopping taking it. Avoid operating dangerous machinery such as driving a car during medication and until these symptoms recover even after stopping medication.
This medicine may cause light sensitive reaction (red patches appearing on sun-exposed skin). Avoid direct sunlight.
Avoid taking food containing Saint. John's wort (a kind of herb). The effect of the medicine may be affected by it.
 
Side effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: photophobia (sensitive to bright light), vision disorder, nausea, blurred vision, headache, loss of appetite, insomnia, etc.In rare cases, symptoms described below may be the sign of side effects indicated in brackets [ ]. If they occur, stop taking your medicine and check with your doctor immediately.
cold sweat, paleness of the face, shortness of breath[anaphylactic symptoms]
high fever, reddened on the skin, stomatitis[mucocutaneous-ocular syndrome]
dullness (general), loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes[liver disorder]
chest pain, palpitation, irregular pulse[ventricular tachycardia]
breathing difficulty, swelling (general)[heart failure]
Other side effects not listed here may occur. Check with your doctor/pharmacist if you have any worrisome symptom. 
Storage and other information
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you dispose of unused medicines, seek advice of your pharmacist about proper disposal of drugs.
