    Effects of this medicine

    This medicine suppresses the growth of herpes simplex/chickenpox/herpes zoster viruses.
    It is usually used to treat herpes simplex.

    Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

    • If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
    • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
    • If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

    Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

    • In general, apply an appropriate amount of this medicine to the affected area, several times a day. Strictly follow the instructions.
    • This medicine should be used only for dermal application and should be kept out of cornea and conjunctiva for ophthalmic application.

      dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never apply two doses at one time.
    • If you accidentally apply more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
    • Do not stop applying this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

    Possible adverse effects of this medicine

    The most commonly reported adverse reactions include feeling of stimulation at the site of application, contact dermatitis, itch and erythematous rash. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist
