Effects of this medicine
This medicine inhibits gastric acid secretion by inhibiting enzyme activity of the proton pump in the gastric mucosa.
Usually, used for treatment of gastric/duodenal ulcer, reflux esophagitis, etc.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
If you have liver disorder.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

General dosage regimen: For treatment of gastric/duodenal ulcer, reflux esophagitis, etc., for adults, take 30 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day.
For maintenance therapy of repeatedly recurrent/relapsing reflux esophagitis, for adults, take 15 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day; the dosage may be increased up to 30 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day, if the effect is insufficient.
Each tablet contains 30 mg of the active ingredient. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

This medicine may be moistened with saliva on the tongue, then lightly squashed with the tongue, and swallowed with saliva. It may also be taken with water like usual drugs.

If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. In such instance, let more than 8 hours pass before the next dose. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: rash, itching, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, enlarged feeling of abdomen, headache, sleepiness, fever, gynecomastia, etc.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

generalized rash, facial swelling, breathlessness[anaphylactic reaction/shock]

dullness, fever, shortness of breath, nose bleeding/subcutaneous hemorrhage, red-brown urine[pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, granulocytopenia, hemolytic anemia, decreased platelet count, anemia]

yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, dullness, loss of appetite[serious liver dysfunction]

fever, general malaise, rash on the skin/eyes and in mouth[toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous-ocular syndrome]

fever, dry cough, breathlessness[interstitial pneumonia]

fever, rash, joint pain[interstitial nephritis]
