Effects of this medicine
This medicine is rauwolfia alkaloids, acts on storage sites of nerve transmitter substances to ease strain, lowers blood pressure, and controls mental excitement, visual hallucination and delusion.
It is usually used in the treatment of various hypertension and schizophrenia.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
If you are a patient with depression, depressive state, peptic ulcer, ulcerative colitis, or renal failure.
If you are receiving electroconvulsive treatment.
If you are a patient with convulsive disorders such as epilepsy, or have a history of these diseases.
If you have a history of bronchial asthma or allergic diseases.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

General dosage regimen:
For hypertension, for adults, take 0.2 to 0.5 g (0.2-0.5 mg of the active ingredient) daily, in 1 to 3 divided doses. When the blood pressure goes down and becomes stable, take 100 to 250 mg (0.1-0.25 mg of the active ingredient) daily, as the maintenance dose, however, the dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
For schizophrenia, for adults, initially take 0.2 to 2 g (0.2-2 mg of the active ingredient) daily, then the dosage may be adjusted according to the response of the patient to the medicine. Also, the dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

Take a dose as soon as possible when you remember that you missed a dose. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while taking this medicine

The medicine may cause drowsiness or feeling of weakness. Avoid driving a car or operating dangerous machinery after taking the medicine.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: drowsiness, hyposexuality, nervousness, dizziness, headache, rash, bradycardia, gastric ulcer, thirst, diarrhea, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, loose stool, nasal stuffiness, malaise, etc.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
