Effects of this medicine
This is cephem antibiotic to inhibit synthesis of bacterial cell walls, and shows bactericidal action.
It is usually used in the treatment of otitis externa, otitis media and sinusitis. |

General dosage regimen:
For otitis externa and otitis media, dissolve 10 mg (titer) of the medicine per 1 mL of the provided solution. Then instill 6 to 10 drops into the ear canal at a time, twice daily. After instillation, keep the ear facing up for 10 minutes to allow absorption of the medicine.
For sinusitis, dissolve 10 mg (titer) of the medicine per 1 mL of the provided solution. Then inhale 2 to 4 mL with a nebulizer at a time, once every other day, 3 times a week, or instill 1 mL into the maxillary sinus, once a week.
The dosage may be adjusted according to the diseases or symptoms in any case. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

For ear instillation, warm the medicine to room temperature, then lie on your side with the affected ear up. Instill the medicine into the ear canal carefully, not to touch the dropper tip directly the ear and remain still for 10 minutes. Apply clean gauze to the ear and wipe off residual medicine that may drip out of the ear when you sit up. If the medicine too cold to apply, it may cause dizziness.

Missed dose: Use a dose as soon as possible when you remember that you missed a dose. However, it is needed to take an interval as long as possible before the next dose. DO NOT use double doses to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose: If you used too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Others: Do not stop using the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Side effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: (rhinology) wheezing (whistling sound), cough, rhinitis (nasal discharge, sneeze), nausea, vomiting, rash, headache, etc. (otology) eczema in the external auditory canal, ear pain in instilling, rash, etc.In rare cases, symptoms described below may be the sign of side effects indicated in brackets [ ]. If they occur, stop using your medicine and check with your doctor immediately.

Storage and other information

Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Store it away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Use the dissolved medicine within 7 days for storage in the refrigerator, or 20 hours for storage at room temperature.
