 Bicarbonate Ringer's solution "Bikanite Infusion" Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory
Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory has released a bicarbonate Ringer's solution "Bikanite Infusion 500mL/1000 mL".
Bikanite infusion is an extracellular solution replenisher that used "bicarbonate ion" that acts as an alkalizing agent in the body. Magnesium ion was added to maintain the magnesium concentration decreasing during surgery. When administering to patients such as massive bleeding or serious injury burns, it shows alkaline action promptly, and it is effective for lifesaving emergency and body fluid management during surgery.
In addition, we developed a composite film with high barrier against carbon dioxide and a pH indicator that can monitor carbon dioxide concentration. By packing containers with gas barrier film, stability of bicarbonate Ringer 's solution can be improved and quality can be confirmed.
