氟比洛芬钠是一系列苯基链烷酸中的一种,在动物炎症性疾病中已显示出止痛,解热和抗炎活性。据信其作用机理是通过抑制在前列腺素的生物合成中必不可少的环加氧酶。
适应症和用途
氟比洛芬钠眼药水适用于抑制术中瞳孔缩小。
剂量和给药
从手术前2小时开始,大约每1/2小时滴入一(1)滴眼药水,应总共注射四(4)滴氟比洛芬钠眼药水。
禁忌症
氟比洛芬钠眼药水禁用于对药物中任何成分过敏的人。
不良反应
据报道,使用氟比洛芬钠眼药水可导致短暂的灼伤和滴眼刺激以及其他轻微的眼刺激症状。 使用氟比洛芬钠眼药水报告的其他不良反应包括:纤维化,前房积血,瞳孔缩小,瞳孔散大和眼充血。
警告
对于某些非甾体类抗炎药,由于干扰血小板聚集,存在增加出血时间的潜力。 已有报道,在眼外科手术中,氟比洛芬钠眼药水可能引起眼组织(包括前房积血)出血增加。
对乙酰水杨酸和其他非甾体类抗炎药可能有交叉敏感性。 因此,在治疗以前对这些药物表现出敏感性的个体时应谨慎。

Ocufen Eye Drops is a sterile ophthalmic solution. It is a prescription drug which is an anti-inflammatory agent and meant for topical use only.
It belongs to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The drug is used to block the intra-operative miosis.
It is effective in preventing the pupil from constricting during surgical procedures in of the eyes (such as cataract surgery).
The drug acts by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzyme.
This enzyme is required for the biosynthesis of the PG (prostaglandins).
By inhibiting the synthesis of PG brand or generic Ocufen eye drops blocks the PG-mediated inflammatory effect in the eyes. PG is known to play a vital role in constriction of the pupil and cause intra-ocular inflammation.
The drug may interfere in the thrombocyte aggregation.
Precautions/Side Effects For Ocufen Eye Drops
Common side effects that may be expected upon administration of Ocufen eye drops are burning, itching or stinging in the eyes. If these side effects worsen or prolong then inform your ophthalmologist or health care provider.
Serious side effects of the drug may include eye pain, reddening of the eyes, changes in the vision, severe itching/stinging/burning in the eyes.
If you experience any of these serious side effects upon administering Flurbiprofen then consult your health care provider or ophthalmologist.
Flurbiprofen may also cause certain allergic reactions such as swelling in the face, lips, throat or tongue, hives and difficulty in breathing.
Seek medical attention if you experience these allergic reactions. Avoid administering the drug if you are hypersensitive to it or to any of its contents.
Being a NSAID Ocufen drug may interfere in the thrombocyte aggregation, which may cause increased bleeding especially in the ocular tissues and is not desirable during ocular surgeries. Therefore, the drug should be administered with caution.
Ocufen Eye Drops Dosage
The Ocufen drug (eye drops) is an ophthalmic solution and meant for topical use only.
The recommended dosage is 4 drops which is administered 2 hours before an ocular surgery begins.
Only 1 drop of the drug is instilled every half an hour. Thus the patient administers a total of 4 drops in 2 hours period (before the surgery).
The drops are put only in the eye which is to be operated on.
Ocufen eye drops may show interactions with other drugs such as carbachol, warfarin (other anti-coagulants) etc.
