適應症 |
Laron syndrome or long-term treatment of growth failure in children with severe primary IGF-1 deficiency (Primary IGFD) or with growth hormone (GH) gene deletion who have developed neutralizing antibodies to GH. |

用量 |
Initially 0.04-0.08 mg/kg SC bid. If well-tolerated for at least 1 week, the dose may be increased by 0.04 mg/kg/dose, to the max dose of 0.12 mg/kg bid. |

Category C: Either studies in animals have revealed adverse effects on the foetus (teratogenic or embryocidal or other) and there are no controlled studies in women or studies in women and animals are not available. Drugs should be given only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus. |

禁忌 |
Not for use as growth promotion in patients with closed epiphyses.Presence of active or suspected neoplasia, & therapy should be discontinued if evidence of neoplasia develops. IV administration is contraindicated. |

注意事項 |
Children < 2 years or adults. Should be administered shortly before or after a meal or snack due to its insulin-like hypoglycemic effects. Special attention should be paid to small children as their oral intake may not be consistent. Avoid engaging in any high-risk activities eg. driving within 2-3 hr after dosing, particularly at the initiation of treatment, until a well-tolerated dose has been established. Periodic exam for lymphoid tissue (e.g., tonsillar) hypertrophy associated with complications, such as snoring, sleep apnea, & chronic middle-ear effusions. Funduscopic exam for intracranial hypertension at the initiation & periodically during therapy. Monitor for slipped capital femoral epiphysis & progression of scoliosis in patients who experience rapid growth. Pregnancy, lactation. |

不良反應 |
Hypoglycemia; lipohypertrophy, bruising; otitis media, severe otitis media; snoring, tonsillar hypertrophy; headache, dizziness, convulsions; vomiting; hypoacusis, fluid in middle ear, ear pain, abnormal tympanometry; cardiac murmur; arthralgia, pain in extremity; thymus hypertrophy; ear tube insertion.
