適應症 |
Children Growth disturbance due to insufficient secretion of growth hormone & growth disturbance associated with Turner syndrome or chronic renal insufficiency. Growth disturbance (current height SDS < -2.5 & parental adjusted height SDS <-1) in short children born small for gestational age (SGA), with a birth weight &/or length below -2SD, who failed to show catch-up growth (HV SDS < 0 during the last year) by 4 years of age or later. Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS), for improvement of growth & body composition. Adult Replacement therapy in adults with pronounced growth hormone deficiency. |

用量 |
SC Growth disturbance due to insufficient secretion of growth hormone in children 0.025-0.035 mg/kg/day or 0.7-1 mg/m2/day or even higher dose. Prader-Willi syndrome 0.035 mg/kg/day or 1 mg/m2/day is recommended. Max: 2.7 mg daily. Treatment should not be used in children with a growth velocity < 1 cm/year & near closure of epiphyses. Growth disturbance due to Turner syndrome 0.045-0.050 mg/kg/day or 1.4 mg/m2/day. Growth disturbance in short children born small for gestational age (SGA) 0.035 mg/kg/day (1 mg/m2/day) until final height is reached. Treatment should be discontinued after the 1st year of treatment if the height velocity SDS is below +1. Treatment should be discontinued if the height velocity is < 2 cm/year &, if confirmation is required, bone age is > 14 years (girls) or > 16 years (boys), corresponding to closure of the epiphyseal growth plates. Growth hormone deficient adults 0.15-0.3 mg/day. Gradually increased according to individual patient requirements as determined by the insulin-like growth factor (IGF-I) conc. |

Category B: Either animal-reproduction studies have not demonstrated a foetal risk but there are no controlled studies in pregnant women or animal-reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect (other than a decrease in fertility) that was not confirmed in controlled studies in women in the 1st trimester (and there is no evidence of a risk in later trimesters). |

禁忌 |
Not for use when there is any evidence of tumour activity & anti-tumour therapy must be completed prior to starting therapy. As growth promotion in children with closed epiphyses. Acute critical illness suffering complications following open heart surgery, abdominal surgery, multiple accidental trauma, acute respiratory failure. |

注意事項 |
Glucose intolerance, diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, malignancy. Children limping during treatment should be examined clinically. Careful monitoring for symptoms of intracranial hypertension. Paediatrics with Prader-Willi syndrome associated with risk factors of severe obesity, history of respiratory impairment or sleep apnoea, or unidentified respiratory infection. Not to initiate treatment near onset of puberty for SGA children. Renal insufficiency, discontinued at renal transplantation. Pregnancy. |

不良反應 |
Adult: Peripheral oedema, stiffness in the extremities, arthralgia, myalgia & paraesthesia. Children: Transient local skin reactions.
