Indications |
Treatment of postmenopausal women w/ oestrogen receptor positive, locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer for disease relapse on or after adjuvant antioestrogen therapy or disease progression on therapy w/ an antioestrogen.

Dosage |
Adult (including elderly) 500 mg slow IM inj into the buttock at 1 mth interval w/ an additional 500-mg dose 2 wk after initial dose.

Contraindications |
Severe hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.

Special Precautions |
Mild to moderate hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment, bleeding diatheses, thrombocytopenia or patients taking anticoagulants. Patients at risk of thromboembolic events. Potential risk of osteoporosis. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery due to asthenia. Childn & adolescents.

Adverse Drug Reactions |
Inj site reaction, nausea, asthenia, increased hepatic enzymes (ALT, AST, ALP). Headache, vomiting, diarrhoea, UTI, rash, back pain, anorexia, venous thromboembolism, hot flushes, hypersensitivity reactions.
