Contraception |

用量 |
Vag insertion only. No hormonal contraceptive use in preceding cycle Insert on day 1-5 of the menstrual cycle. Changing from a combined oral contraceptive (COC) Insert at the latest on the day following the usual tab-free or placebo tab interval of the COC. Changing from a progestogen-only method (minipill, implant or injectable) or from a progestogen-releasing intrauterine system (IUS) From minipill: Insert any day. From another implant or IUS: Insert on the day of its removal. From an injectable: Insert when the next inj would be due. Post-1st-trimester abortion Insert immediately. When doing so, the woman does not need to take additional contraceptive measures. Post-childbirth or 2nd-trimester abortion Insert on 4th wk after delivery or 2nd-trimester abortion. If the implant is inserted later, additionally use a barrier method for the 1st 7 days after insertion. If intercourse has occurred, pregnancy should be excluded or the woman's 1st menstrual period should be awaited before the actual insertion of the implant. |

Category X: Studies in animals or human beings have demonstrated foetal abnormalities or there is evidence of foetal risk based on human experience or both, and the risk of the use of the drug in pregnant women clearly outweighs any possible benefit. The drug is contraindicated in women who are or may become pregnant. |

Deep venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, MI, CVA; transient ischaemic attack, angina pectoris. History of migraine with focal neurological symptoms. DM with vascular involvement; severe or multiple risk factors for venous or arterial thrombosis; pancreatitis associated with severe hypertriglyceridaemia. Severe hepatic disease, liver tumors. Known or suspected sex-steroid influenced malignancies. Undiagnosed vag bleeding. Pregnancy |

注意事項 |
Complete medical history & physical exam prior to initiation & periodic medical assessment during treatment. Circulatory disorders, tumors, liver function disturbances, diabetes. Women predisposed to chloasma should avoid sun & UV exposure. Lactation. |

不良反應 |
VTE, increased BP. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis; chloasma. Breast pain, headache, migraine, decreased libido, depression, emotional lability, dizziness, anxiety, GI & urogenital disturbances, acne, pruritus, rash, increased weight, breast fibroadenosis, enlarged abdomen, back pain, fatigue, expulsion, coital problems, foreign body feeling.

Phenytoin, phenobarb, primidone, carbamazepine, rifampicin, oxcarbazepine, topiramate, felbamate, ritonavir, griseofulvin, St. John's wort. Penicillin, tetracycline. Cyclosporin.
