Dosage |
1 tab daily for 28 consecutive days starting on 1st day of menstrual bleeding.

Overdosage |
View Yaz overdosage for action to be taken in the event of an overdose. |
Administration |
May be taken with or without food (Take at the same time each day. ). |
Contraindications |
Venous or arterial thrombotic/thromboembolic events or CVA, prodromi of a thrombosis, migraine, DM, pancreatitis associated w/ severe hypertriglyceridemia, severe hepatic disease or renal insufficiency, liver tumors, sex steroid-influenced malignancies, undiagnosed vag bleeding, pregnancy.

Special Precautions |
Circulatory disorders, tumors, renal impairment, hypertriglyceridemia, HTN, cholestatic jaundice.

Adverse Drug Reactions |
Nausea, abdominal pain, wt increased, headache, depressed or altered mood, breast pain or tenderness.

Drug Interactions |
Phenytoin, barbiturates, primidone, carbamazepine, rifampicin, ritonavir, nevirapine, penicillins, tetracyclines. May increase serum K esp w/ AIIA, K-sparing diuretic, aldosterone antagonist.
