Secretolytic & expectorant in acute & chronic bronchopulmonary disease associated w/ abnormal mucus secretion & impaired mucus transport. |

Dosage |
Adult & childn >12 yr 2 tsp. Childn 6-12 yr 1 tsp, 2-6 yr ½ tsp, <2 yr ¼ tsp. To be taken tid. |

Stevens-Johnson syndrome & Lyell's syndrome. Pregnancy & lactation. |

Adverse Drug Reactions |
Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, mild GI side effects have been reported w/ bromhexine. Very rarely, allergic reactions eg skin rashes, urticaria, bronchospasm, angioedema, anaphylaxis.
