適應症 |
Klaricid Upper & lower respiratory tract. Eradication of H. pylori when used with omeprazole. Klaricid XL Upper & lower respiratory tract. Klaricid Paediatric Infection of the upper & lower respiratory tract, acute otitis media, skin & soft tissue infections. |

用量 |
Klaricid Respiratory/skin & soft tissue infection Adult & children >12 years 250 mg bid for 7 days. Severe infections: May increase up to 500 mg bid for 14 days. Eradication of H. pylori in patients with duodenal ulcers Adult & elderly 500 mg tid for 14 days with oral omeprazole 40 mg once daily. Klaricid Paediatric Children <12 years 7.5 mg/kg bid, up to a max dose of 500 mg bid for 5-10 days. Klaricid XL Adult & children > 12 years 500 mg daily for 7-10 days. |

May be taken with or without food (XL tab: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.). |

Category C: Either studies in animals have revealed adverse effects on the foetus (teratogenic or embryocidal or other) and there are no controlled studies in women or studies in women and animals are not available. Drugs should be given only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the foetus. |

禁忌 |
Known hypersensitivity to macrolides. Concomitant administration with astemizole, terfenadine, pimozide or cisapride. |

Hepatic impairment & moderate to severe renal impairment. Pregnancy & lactation. |

不良反應 |
Diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, headache, taste perversion, transient elevation of liver enzymes. Allergic reactions ranging from urticaria & mild skin eruptions to anaphylaxis & Stevens-Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis. Transient CNS effects including dizziness, vertigo, anxiety, insomnia, bad dreams, tinnitus, confusion, disorientation, hallucination, psychosis & depersonalization. Alteration of sense of smell with taste perversion. Glossitis, stomatitis, oral monilia, tongue discoloration, tooth discoloration.

交互作用 |
Alprazolam, astemizole, carbamazepine, cyclosporine, disopyramide, ergot alkaloids, lovastatin, methylprednisolone, midazolam, omeprazole, oral anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin) pimozide, quinidine, rifabutin, sildenafil, simvastatin, tacrolimus, terfenadine, triazolam & vinblastine. Phenytoin, theophylline & valproate. HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors e.g. lovastatin & simvastatin. Cisapride, pimozide, terfenadine, quinidine, disopyramide, digoxin, zidovudine, ritonavir.
