适应症
适用于痰液粘稠而不易咳出者。
用法用量
口服，成人，一次1粒，一日1次。
禁忌
已知对盐酸氨溴索或其他配方成份过敏者不宜使用。
注意事项
1. 孕妇及哺乳期妇女慎用。
2. 儿童用置请咨询医师或药师。
3. 应避免与中枢性镇咳药（如右美沙芬等）同时使用，以免稀化的痰液堵塞气道。
4. 本品为一种粘液调节剂，仅对咳痰症状有一定作用，在使用时应注意咳嗽、咳痰的原因，如使用7日后未见好转，应及时就医。
5. 如服用过量或出现严重不良反应，应立即就医。
6. 对本品过敏者禁用。
不良反应
偶见皮疹、恶心，胃部不适、食欲缺乏、腹痛、腹泻。
相互作用
1. 本品与抗生素（阿莫西林、头孢呋新、红霉素、强力霉素）同时服用，可导致抗生素在肺组织浓度升高。

Mucosolvan® - against cough with mucus
Coughing can be a distressful and uncomfortable experience. It is, however, an integral part of the body's self-cleaning mechanism and part of the body's self-protective response. A cough mainly has the function of clearing the airways, thereby protecting the lungs. From a medical perspective, cough is the most common symptom of clinical importance and the most frequent reason to consult a doctor. The clinical symptoms of cough and expectoration (coughing up mucus) have led to the development of drugs that affect respiratory mucus: the so-called mucoactive agents.
Basically, there are two kinds of cough: chesty (productive) and dry (non-productive, persistent, irritating).
A chesty cough, also known as a productive cough, is normally the result of a viral upper respiratory tract infection, such as the common cold. The infection causes the mucous membrane of the airways to become inflamed and to produce thick, sticky mucus, so that it is no longer removed by the body’s normal cleaning action and clogs up the airways. Coughing helps push out this sticky phlegm. Inflammation and too much thick mucus narrow the airways, make breathing difficult, and can promote bacterial infection.
A non-productive cough is dry and tickling - a repeated irritation of the respiratory tract, usually without producing phlegm. Besides respiratory tract infections, this cough can for example also be caused by cigarette smoke, dust or allergies. Sometimes it remains for a couple of days or even weeks as a post symptom of a common cold.
Mucosolvan® is the worldwide leading cough brand with many different formulations developed since the first marketing authorisation in 1978. It contains the mucoactive agent ambroxol.
Mucosolvan® has a 3-way-action: it dissolves phlegm, clears it from the lungs and protects against new phlegm build up.
The major product is the syrup with two concentrations of ambroxol, 30 mg/ml and 15mg/5ml. This can be given in adults and children according to local dosing recommendations and registrations.
Other main formulations are sustained release capsules for a one-a-day dosing, and pastilles to be used as on-the-go format. Depending on the country tablets, inhalation, drops, ampoules are also available.
Ambroxol, the active agent of Mucosolvan, has several properties that restore the physiological clearance mechanisms of the respiratory tract and therefore play an important role in the body’s natural defense mechanisms. Ambroxol stimulates synthesis and release of surfactant by specific types of lung cells. Surfactant is a complex emulsion and works as “anti-glue” factor which facilitates an optimal flow of airway secretions.
Several studies have demonstrated the importance of surfactant in reducing the adhesion of mucus to the bronchial wall, in improving its transport, and in providing protection against bacterial aggression and irritating agents.
