Effects of this medicine
This medicine lowers eye pressure by increasing fluid drainage from the aqueous outflow.
Usually, used for treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. |
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor/pharmacist

If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
If you have aphakic eye or pseudophakic eye.
If you have intraocular inflammation (e.g.iritis, uveitis), possible herpesvirus infection.
If you have bronchial asthma or history of bronchial asthma.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are using any other prescription or nonprescription (OTC) medicine. (It is important to reduce the risk of drug interactions.)

Dosage regimen (proper use of this medicine)

Your dosage regimen is:(order of your doctor)

General dosage regimen: One drop at a time, once a day. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

Wash your hands well, and administer carefully not to touch the dropper tip against the eye.

Wipe off over flowed eye drops with a clean gauze or tissue paper immediately.

If you are using other eye drops at the same time, wait more than 5 minutes.

If you are wearing contact lenses, take off the lenses and then administer. Wait more than 15 minutes to wear your contact lenses again. (It might lead contact lenses to discoloration.)

Missed dose: If you miss a dose, administer one drop once if it is within the day. You do not have to administer twice a day or once for two drops when you noticed to have forgotten administration the next day.

Overdose: If you use too much of this medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Others: Do not stop using this medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while using this medicine

Applying the eye-drops may cause iris pigmentation, followed by gradual increase of the symptom.
The symptom may stop after withdrawal of the eye-drops, but there may be difference in color tone compared to the other eye without eye-drop treatment. If you become aware of it, check with your doctor.

This medicine may cause transient blurred vision. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until these symptoms recover.

Side effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: conjunctival hyperaemia, ocular irritancy symptom, itching, eye pain, blepharitis (eye lid infection), eyelid pigmentation, blurred vision, abnormal eyelash, visual activity decrease, lacrimation, headache, throat discomfort, nausea, etc.In rare cases, symptoms described below may be the sign of side effects indicated in brackets [ ]. If they occur, stop taking your medicine and check with your doctor immediately.

Storage and other information

Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light and heat.

Do not use any medicine that has been stored for more than 4 weeks after opening.

Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
