Effects of this medicine
This medicine has a tumor cell suppressive effect or tumor cell killing effect.
It is usually used to treat early stage lung cancer, superficial esophageal cancer, early stage superficial gastric cancer, early stage uterocervical cancer and dysplasia in which laser therapy can be employed. This is a localized treatment, and therefore only the site where the laser light has been applied shows treatment effects.

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have: porphyria.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

In general, this medicine is administered once by intravenous injection. The laser light is applied to the lesion site 48 to 72 hours after the injection.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and strong light sources such as desk lamp and stay in a room where there is reduced illumination (100 to 300 lux) for at least 1 month after the injection.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include photosensitivity, pigmentation, rash, cough, phlegm, hemoptysis, hemosputum, respiratory distress, pharyngalgia, chest pain, epigastric pain, nausea/vomiting and fever. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
