Effects of this medicine
This medicine is macrolide antibiotics, inhibits protein synthesis of bacteria to suppress bacterial growth, and shows antibacterial action.
It is usually used in the treatment of wide-range infections such as respiratory infections, otorhinologic infections, skin infections, etc.

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have: hepatic disorder, renal disorder, cardiac disease or hypokalemia.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

In general, for children, take 10 to 15 mg of the active ingredient (titer) per kilogram of body weight daily, in two or three divided doses. In the treatment of Legionella's pneumonia, take 15 mg (titer) per kilogram of body weight daily, in two or three divided doses. In any case, the dosage may be adjusted according to the diseases, age or symptoms. This preparation contains 50 mg of the active ingredient (titer) in a tablet. However, in the treatment of common infections, the daily dosage is limited to 8 tablets (400 mg [titer]). Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor and pharmacist.

If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible when you remember that you missed a dose. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include abdominal pain, diarrhea, rash, hallucination, disorientation (not knowing the place where one is, what time or one's own name is), impaired consciousness, delirium, mania (euphoria, tendency to be excited, become active), tremor (trembling of the limbs), numbness, ear ringing, diminished hearing, olfactory disorder, oral erosion, tooth discoloration, muscular pain, candidiasis (sore and itch due to eczema in the external genitalia, stomatitis, difficulty in swallowing or eating), palpitation and hypoglycemia. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

breathing difficulty, convulsion, systemic redness accompanied by itching [shock, anaphylaxis]

palpitation, chest pain, dizziness [QT prolongation, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation]

general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing in the skin or conjunctiva [fulminant hepatitis, hepatic dysfunction, jaundice, hepatic failure]

general malaise, headache, nasal bleeding, gum bleeding [thrombocytopenia, pancytopenia, hemolytic anemia, leukocytopenia, agranulocytosis]

redness in the skin, blister, bulbar conjunctival congestion [toxic epidermal necrolysis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, erythema multiform]
