Effects of this medicine
This medicine increases blood pressure by enhancing cardiac contractility and also increases urine output by increasing blood flow in the kidneys.
It is usually used for the treatment of acute circulatory failure (cardiogenic shock, hemorrhagic shock).

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have phaeochromocytoma, peripheral vascular disorder (diabetes mellitus, alcohol poisoning, frostbite, arteriosclerosis, Raynaud's syndrome or Buerger's disease), tachyarrhythmia, ventricular fibrillation, diabetes or suspected to have this disease.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include arrhythmia, limbs coldness, vomiting, palpitation, nausea, abdominal bloating, abdominal pain, phlebitis, injection site degenerative necrosis and piloerection. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

nausea, vomiting, intense abdominal pain, no output of stool [paralytic ileus]

coldness of limbs, facial pallor, numbness [limbs coldness, peripheral ischemia]
