Effects of this medicine
This medicine is a fosfomycin antibiotic, which inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis in its early stage to exert an antibacterial effect.
It is usually used to treat a wide range of infections such as blood infection, respiratory infection, urinary tract infection and gynecological infection.

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you or your family has the predisposition to allergic symptoms such as bronchial asthma, rash and hives.
If you have liver disorder.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

In general, this medicine is administered by intravenous infusion over a period of 1 to 2 hours in 2 divided doses a day or injected intravenously over a period of 5 minutes or longer in 2 to 4 divided doses a day.

Relax and stay still while receiving drip infusion.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include rash, itching, hives, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, vascular pain, flush, fever, malaise, renal dysfunction and hypesthesia. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

distressed feeling of chest, respiratory distress, falling of blood pressure [shock, anaphylactoid symptoms]

abdominal pain, frequent diarrhea [serious colitis with bloody stool such as pseudomembranous colitis]

palpitation/shortness of breath, sore throat, gum bleeding [pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia]

general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and the white of eyes [liver dysfunction, jaundice]

sudden attacks of muscular spasms [convulsion]
