Effects of this medicine
This medicine dilates blood vessels and prevents blood clotting by exerting an action on the prostacyclin receptors on blood vessels and platelets, thus improving the blood flow.
It is usually used in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.

If you have previously experienced any allergic
reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have bleeding due to haemophilia, capillary fragility, upper gastrointestinal ulcer, urinary tract haemorrhage, haemoptysis, ocular fundus haemorrhage, etc.

If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (60μg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice daily, after breakfast and supper. The dose may be increased slowly while observing your symptoms. When the dose is increased, it may be taken at a maximum dose of 3 tablets (180μg) at a time, twice daily, after breakfast and supper. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor and pharmacist.

This medicine is a sustained-release preparation. Do not split, crush or grind the tablets. Take it without crunching.

If you have miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, the next dose should be taken about 12 hours apart, and after a meal. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Yor should never take two doses at one time.

If you accidentally take more than your prescribed
dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor
instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Since this medicine may cause consciousness disorder etc., pay close attention when you operate dangerous machinery such as driving a car.

Possible adverse reactions to this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include headache, flushed face, hot flush, queasy, malaise, diarrhoea, palpitations, abdominal pain, bleeding tendency, subcutaneous haemorrhage, nasal bleeding, anaemia, itching, rash, eczema, erythema and urticaria. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

headache, queasy, visual impairment [cerebral haemorrhage, digestive tract haemorrhage, pulmonary haemorrhage, ocular fundus bleeding]

facial pallor, cold sweat, dizziness on standing up, feeling of faintness [shock, syncope, loss of consciousness]

fever, dry cough, breathing difficulty [interstitial pneumonia]

general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes [hepatic function disorder]

feeling of chest pressure, chest pain with a strangled feeling, cold sweat [angina, myocardial infarction]

Storage conditions and other information

Keep out of the reach of infants and children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity.
