Effects of this medicine
This medicine enhances antimicrobial activity of antimicrobial drugs by elevating pH in the stomach via inhibition of the proton pump in the gastric mucosa.
Used concomitantly with two different antimicrobial agents for treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection which leads to development of gastric ulcer/duodenal ulcer, gastric MALT lymphoma, or idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. This medicine may also be used in endoscopic therapy for early gastric cancer. |

Dosage regimen (proper use of this medicine)

Your dosage regimen is:(order of your doctor)

General dosage regimen: For adults, take 1 capsule (30 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice a day for 7 days. Also take two different antibiotics concomitantly while taking the medicine. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

Missed dose: If you missed a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If there is less than 5 hours to the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at your regular time. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose: If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Others: Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Side effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: soft stool, diarrhea, taste abnormality, enlarged feeling of abdomen, rash, itching, etc.In rare cases, symptoms described below may be the sign of side effects indicated in brackets [ ]. If they occur, stop taking your medicine and check with your doctor immediately.

dullness, fever, shortness of breath, nose bleeding/subcutaneous hemorrhage, red-brown urine[pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, granulocytopenia, hemolytic anemia, decreased platelet count, anemia]

yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, dullness, loss of appetite[serious liver dysfunction]

fever, general malaise, rash on the skin/eyes and in mouth[toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous-ocular syndrome]

abdominal pain, frequent diarrhea[serious colitis]

fever, dry cough, breathlessness[interstitial pneumonia]

fever, rash, joint pain[interstitial nephritis]
