Effects of this medicine
This medicine suppresses production of angiotensin II, which is a hypertensive substance, by inhibiting angiotensin-converting enzyme, and consequently decreases blood pressure. It also improves hemodynamics and raises cardiac output by decreasing peripheral vascular resistance, and consequently improves cardiac hypertrophy.
It is usually used in the treatment of essential hypertension, renal hypertension, renovascular hypertension, malignant hypertension and chronic heart failure (mild to moderate).

If you have previously experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicine.
If you have a history of angioedema.
If you are a patient with renal disorder, hyperkalemia or cerebrovascular disorder.
If you are receiving apheresis or hemodialysis.

If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

For patients with hypertension: In general, for adults, take 5 to 10 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms, however, in patients with renal or renal vascular hypertension, or malignant hypertension, the initial dose may be started at 2.5 mg at a time. For pediatric patients over 1 month after birth, take 0.08 mg/kg of the active ingredient once daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. It should not exceed 10 mg per day. This preparation contains 5 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
For patients with chronic heart failure: In general, for adults, take 1 to 2 tablets (5 to 10 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms, however, in the patients with renal disorder or if you are taking diuretics, the initial dose may be started at 2.5 mg at a time. Strictly follow the instructions.

If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Dizziness and light-headedness may occur due to an excessive decrease in blood pressure. Therefore, be aware of driving a car, working at heights, or operating dangerous machinery.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include dizziness and cough. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
