Effects of this medicine
This medicine dilates peripheral vessels and lowers blood pressure by its antagonistic action on alpha-1 receptors. Also, it makes urinating easier by suppressing smooth muscle contraction in the prostate and the urethra, and dilating the urethra.
It is usually used to treat hypertension, and dysuria associated with prostatic hyperplasia and neurogenic bladder.

General dosage regimen:
Treatment of essential hypertension, renal hypertension, hypertension associated with pheochromocytoma, for adults, the initial dose is started with 15 mg of the active ingredient at a time, twice daily, and if the effect is insufficient, the dose will be gradually increased at 1-2 week intervals up to 60 mg at a time, twice daily, after breakfast and supper. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms.
Treatment of dysuria associated with prostatic hyperplasia, for adults, the initial dose is started with 15 mg of the active ingredient at a time, twice daily, and if the effect is insufficient, the dose will be gradually increased at 1-2 week intervals up to 30-45 mg at a time, twice daily, after breakfast and supper. The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms, however, the maximum daily dosage is 90 mg.
Treatment of dysuria associated with neurogenic bladder, for adults, the initial dose is started with 15 mg of the active ingredient at a time, twice daily, and the dose will be gradually increased at 1-2 week intervals up to 30 mg at a time, twice daily, after breakfast and supper. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms, however, the maximum daily dosage is 90 mg. This preparation contains 30 mg of the active ingredient in a capsule. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

Take a dose as soon as possible when you remembered that you missed a dose. However, it is needed to take an interval of 4-5 hours before the next dose. If it is 2-3 hours or less before the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

Do not stop taking this medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while taking this medicine

You may feel dizziness/stagger due to decreased blood pressure. Do not drive a car, work at heights, or operate dangerous machinery while taking this medicine.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: headache, headache dull, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, stagger, rash, etc.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

General malaise, vomiting, yellowness in skin or conjunctiva[liver dysfunction]
