Effects of this medicine
This medicine improves allergy and allergic symptoms (sneeze, runny nose, stuffy nose, eczema, itch, etc.) by suppressing the function of substance which causes allergy (histamine).
It is usually used to treat hives, eczema/dermatitis, prurigo, dermal pruritus and allergic rhinitis.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

General dosage regimen: For adults, take 1-2 tablet(s) (5-10mg of the active ingredient) once a day. The dose may be adjusted according to disease to be treated, your age and symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

The medicine is designed to be taken without a glass of water. Take it with saliva after soaking it with saliva on the tongue and crunching it lightly with the tongue. Alternatively, it can be taken with a glass of water/lukewarm water like other general medicines.

Take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while taking this medicine

The medicine may cause you to feel sleepy. Therefore do not drive a car, work at heights, or operate dangerous machinery while taking it.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: sleepiness, dry mouth, lassitude, stomach discomfort, rash, edema, hives, etc.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

cold sweat, facial pallor, breathing difficulty[shock, anaphylactoid symptoms]

generalized fatigability, loss of appetite, yellowness in the skin and the conjunctiva[liver dysfunction, jaundice]
