Effects of this medicine
This medicine is known as oxazolidinone antibiotics and has antibacterial effect by inhibiting protein synthesis initiation of bacteria.
Usually, used for treatment of infections caused by vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE), and pneumonia, infections of the skin and sepsis associated with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Not effective against fungal/virus infection. |

If you have bone-marrow depression such as anemia or renal dysfunction.
If your body weight is less than 40 kg.

Dosage regimen (proper use of this medicine)

General dosage regimen: For adults, take one tablet (600 mg of the active ingredient) twice a day every 12 hours. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

Missed dose: If you missed a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose: If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Others: Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while using this medicine

The medicine may cause blood pressure increase or pounding heartbeat. Avoid taking excessive amounts of tyramine-rich foods including cheese, beer or wine.

Side effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: bleeding tendency (gingival or nose bleeding), flowing bleeding, anemia, diarrhea, nausea, headache, vaginal candida (vaginal discharge increase), taste abnormality, pseudomembranous colitis (fever, abdominal pain, frequent diarrhea with mucous/bloody stool), etc.In rare cases, symptoms described below may be the sign of side effects indicated in brackets [ ]. If they occur, stop taking your medicine and check with your doctor immediately.

anemia symptoms (dizziness on standing up, headache), fever, bleeding tendency (internal or nose bleeding)[myelosuppression]

decline in visual acuity, color vision deficiency, blurred vision/visual disturbance[optic neuropathy]

breathing difficulty, feeling of heat in the face/body, hives[shock, anaphylactic symptoms]

fever, cough/sputum, breathing difficulty[interstitial pneumonia]

decreased urination output, swelling of hands/foot and face, dullness[renal failure]
Other side effects not listed here may occur. Check with your doctor/pharmacist if you have any worrisome symptom. |
