Effects of this medicine
This medicine inhibits the production of aqueous humor through a β-blocking action thus helping to lower intraocular pressure.
It is usually used in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. |
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor/pharmacist

If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
If you are a patient with bradycardia, inadequately-controlled heart failure, or diabetes.
If you are a patient with bronchial asthma, or have ever been diagnosed with bronchial asthma.
If you wear contact lenses.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are using any other prescription or nonprescription (OTC) medicine. (It is important to reduce the risk of drug interactions.)

Dosage regimen (proper use of this medicine)

Your dosage regimen is:(order of your doctor)

General dosage regimen: Apply 1 drop of 1% preparation to each eye, twice daily. If the effect is insufficient, apply 1 drop of 2% preparation to each eye, twice daily. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

Make sure that the tip of eyedropper does not touch the eye when applying the medicine.

Lie down on your back to apply the medicine. After applying, close your eyes and gently press on the inside corner of the eye for 1 to 5 minutes, and then open them.

Missed dose: If you remember that you have missed a dose, apply a dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT apply double doses to make up for any missed doses.

Overdose: If you used too much of the medicine (more than directed), immediately consult your doctor/pharmacist.

Others: Do not stop using the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while using this medicine

Side effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: ocular symptoms such as irritation, blurred (hazy) vision, itching sensation, conjunctival congestion, dry sensation, punctate keratitis, conjunctival edema, and eye discharge; and systemic symptoms such as headache, bradycardia, dizziness, taste abnormality (including bitter taste), shortness of breath, nausea and dermatitis, etc.In rare cases, symptoms described below may be the sign of side effects indicated in brackets [ ]. If they occur, stop using your medicine and check with your doctor immediately.

Whistling in breathing, difficulty breathing [asthma attack]

Slow pulse, dizziness followed by fainting [syncope]

Slow pulse, shortness of breath, dizziness[bradyarrhythmia]

General malaise, dyspnoea, generalized edema[congestive heart failure]

Chest pain, sensation of pressure, cold sweat[coronary spastic angina]
Other side effects not listed here may occur. Check with your doctor/pharmacist if you have any worrisome symptom. |
Storage and other information

Fasten the cap tightly each time after useing the medicine. Keep the medicine out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight and heat.

Place the medicine in the attached light-blocking bag when not in use.

Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
