Effects of this medicine
This medicine suppresses resorption of salt and water in the renal tubule of kidney and excrete extra body water with salt into urine to remove edema, lower blood pressure and decrease cardiac workload.
It is usually used to treat hypertension, cardiac edema(congestive heart failure), renal/hepatic edema and premenstrual syndrome.

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you have anuria or acute renal failure.
If you are patient whose amount of sodium and potassium in body fluid has been decreased.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

In general, for adults, take 1 to 4 tablets (2 to 8mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day or in 2 divided dose. The dosage may be adjusted according to disease, age and symptoms of the patient. Strictly follow the instructions.

If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

When you need to get more sufficient rest than usual, take the medicine in the morning so as to avoid urinating during the night.

This medicine may cause dizziness/lightheadedness due to decreased blood pressure. Be aware of operating in potentially hazardous activities such as driving a car and working at heights.

Intake of alcohol may enhance the effect of this medicine.

Avoid direct sunlight while taking this medicine as much as possible.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include anorexia, nausea/vomiting, dizziness, headache, malaise, rash, facial flushing, photosensitivity and purpura. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
