Effects of this medicine

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

• If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
  If you have: hypotension, hepatic or renal dysfunction.

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

• Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is <<        to be written by a healthcare professional>>

• For hypertension (adults): In general, for adults, take 1/2 to 1 tablet (2.5-5 mg of amlodipine) at a time, once daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms, however, if the effect is insufficient, the dosage may be increased up to 10 mg, once daily.
  For hypertension (children): In general, for children aged 6 years and older, take 0.5 tablet (2.5 mg of amlodipine) at a time, once daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age, body weight and symptoms, however, the maximum daily dose should not be exceeded 1 tablet (5 mg).
  For angina pectoris: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (5 mg of amlodipine) at a time, once daily. The dosage may be adjusted according to the symptoms.
  Strictly follow the instructions in any case.
• This medicine is orally disintegrating tablet. Soak the tablet with saliva on your tongue and crush it lightly with your tongue, then swallow it with saliva. You may also take this medicine with water or warm water as you do an ordinary tablet.

• If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

• If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

• Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Precautions while taking this medicine

• This medicine may cause dizziness due to its hypotensive action. Pay close attention when you work at heights, drive a car or operate dangerous machinery.
• Some components that are contained in grapefruit juice may intensify the action of this medicine. Do not drink grapefruit juice as much as possible during the treatment with this medicine.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine

• general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowness in skin or white of eye [hepatic dysfunction, jaundice]
• fever, nasal bleeding, gum bleeding, subcutaneous bleeding [thrombocytopenia, leukopenia]
• bradycardia, dizziness, faint [atrioventricular block]

Storage conditions and other information

• Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
•  Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
