Effects of this medicine
This medicine is a phenothiazine antihistamine, and has antihistaminic and antipruritic action.
It is usually used for the treatment of itchiness associated with skin diseases; urticaria; sneeze, runny nose and cough associated with upper airway inflammations such as common cold; and allergic rhinitis.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicine.
If you are a patient with glaucoma, occlusive disease in the lower urinary tract such as prostatic hyperplasia, or hepatic disorder.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

General dosage regimen:
For adults, take 5 mL (2.5 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 to 4 times daily, however, the dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. If you take the medicine before going to bed (for temporary use only when the symptoms are severe, not for continuous use), take 10 mL (5 mg). Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
For children, take the medicine accoding to the age as indicated by the following dosage at a time, 3 to 4 times daily. For children aged 1 year, take 1 mL (0.5 mg); for children aged 2 to 3 years, take 1.5 mL (0.75 mg); for children aged 4 to 6 years, take 2 mL (1 mg); for children aged 7 to 9 years, take 3 mL (1.5 mg); for children aged 10 to 12 years, take 3.5 mL (1.75 mg). Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

Take a dose as soon as possible when you remember that you missed a dose. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while taking this medicine

The medicine may cause drowsiness. Avoid driving a car or operating dangerous machinery after taking the medicine.

Drinking alcohol may mutually enhance the effect of the medicine and alcohol. Avoid drinking alcohol while you are receiving the medicine.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: drowsiness, dizziness, malaise, headache, thirst, etc.
