Effects of this medicine
This medicine improves diarrhea by exerting an opposing effect on serotonin 5-HT3 receptors on the efferent nerves and improves abdominal pain by exerting an opposing effect on serotonin 5-HT3 receptors on the afferent nerves.
It is usually used for the treatment of diarrhoea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome in males.

If you have a history of abdominal operations.

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

General dosage regimen: For male adults, take 2 tablets (5mcg of the active ingredient) at a time, once daily. The dose may be adjusted according to your symptoms. However, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 4 tablets (10mcg). Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

If you have missed a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Possible adverse effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: constipation, hard faeces, etc.
If there is no bowel movement for three consecutive days or longer, stop taking the medicine temporarily and consult with your doctor/pharmacist about the subsequent use of the medicine.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

Storage conditions and other information
