Effects of this medicine

This medicine works on central nervous system and have efficacy for helping recovery of gastric and duodenal mucosae by increasing blood flow in gastric wall mucosa.
It is usually used for the treatment of gastiric or duodenal ulcers.

Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist

If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
If you have prolactin-secreting pituitary tumor (prolactinoma) or suspected phaeochromocytoma.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)

Your dosing schedule prescribed by your doctor is << to be written by a healthcare professional>>

General dosage regimen: For adults take 0.5g (50mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to your symptoms. One gram of this preparation contains 100mg of active ingredient. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

If you realize that you have missed a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Precautions while taking this medicine

Sleepiness or dizziness may occur after taking the medicine. Avoid driving a car, working at heights or operating dangerous machinery.
Alcohol intake may enhance the effect of the medicine. Refrain from drinking alcohol while taking the medicine.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine

Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: menstrual disorder, lactation, gynaecomastia, insomnia, sleepness, dizziness, light-headed feeling, thirst, hearetburn, nausea, vomiting, constipation, feeling hot, malaise, rash, odema, tremor (shaking in a limb), lisp, irritated feeling, etc.

The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

high spiking fever, tremor of the hands and legs, muscle stiffness [neuroleptic malignant syndrome]
cramp or spasm[convulsions]
chest pain, palpitations, chest discomfort [prolonged QT, ventricular tachycardia]
general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eye [hepatic function disorder, jaundice]
sore throat, headache, fever [agranulocytosis, leukopenia]
