Effects of this medicine
This medicine acts directly on the cough center in the brain and thus suppresses coughing.
It is usually used for the treatment of cough associated with respiratory disease such as upper respiratory inflammation or pneumonia.

General dosage regimen: For children, take each daily dose indicated as follows in three divided doses.
Under the age of 2 years: 3.0 to 4.5mL (7.5 to 11.25mg of the active ingredient). Aged 2 to 3 years: 5.0 to 8.0mL (12.5 to 20mg). Aged 4 to 6 years: 8.0 to 11.0mL (20 to 27.5mg). Aged 7 to 14 years: 12.0 to 14.0mL (30 to 35mg). The dose may be adjusted according to your age and symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.

If you have missed a dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. If you have a bad cough, consult with your doctor/pharmacist. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.

If you took too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.

Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Possible adverse effects of this medicine
Common side effects are reported as below. If any of them occurs, check with your doctor/pharmacist: rash, dizziness, sleepiness, headache/heaviness of the head, dry mouth, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, etc.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse effects indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
