How does it work?

Vasogen cream contains three active ingredients dimeticone, zinc oxide and calamine.

Dimeticone is a silicone fluid, which is a water repellant. When applied to the skin it creates a barrier between the skin and water, or any other water soluble skin irritants.

Zinc oxide has antiseptic properties and helps to heal the skin. Calamine has a soothing andcooling action.

This cream forms a thin layer over the skin which protects and promotes healing of the skin.

Vasogen cream can be used for the treatment of nappy rash in children, bedsores in theelderly and bed-bound people, and for protection of the skin around the stoma inpeople who have an ileostomy orcolostomy.

What is it used for?

• Nappy rash.
• Sores caused by lying or sitting in the same position for long periods of time (pressure sores).
• Protect skin around a stoma after an ileostomy or colostomy.

Warning!

• This cream is for external use on the skin only.
• Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth.

Not to be used in

• Known sensitivity or allergy to any ingredient.
• Weeping areas of skin.

This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you havepreviously experienced such anallergy.

If you feel you haveexperienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform yourdoctor or pharmacist immediately.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Certain medicines should not be used during pregnancy orbreastfeeding. However, other medicines may be safely used in pregnancy orbreastfeeding providing the benefits to the mother outweigh the risks to theunborn baby. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning apregnancy, before using any medicine.

• There are no known harmful effects when this medicine is used by pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
